Despite the accolades and the training in the exclusive and difficult field of Egyptology, Kerry remains humble and unassuming. He quickly agreed to participate in this project and was always willing to make revisions after multiple peer reviews.
What impresses me most about Kerry is his willingness to accept that his conclusions are subject to revision with the discovery of further evidence. He clearly admits that things he wrote a decade ago are now outdated and realizes that what he writes now will likely be revised in ten years.
He emphasizes the importance of openness to accepting the unknown and of not rigidly holding on to apparent certainties in the face of emerging scholarship.
