Through his writings both in publications and in social media, one can learn much about Paul. He has been to me a needed lighthouse as I have watched him successfully navigate the sometimes choppy waters between faith, reason, conscience, and respect, while maintaining the delicate balance between acknowledging our past and building a solid foundation for our future.
There are several scholars who could write competently about the priesthood ban, but Paul doesn't stop there. He gives readers tools to deal with the inevitable "Now what?" question that comes with the realization that history can be messy and prophets are not infallible.
